Víctor Klapp

Víctor Klapp was born in Osorno (Chile) in May 1971, married with three children, currently resides in the city of Quilpué, and is dedicated to the training of new writers, as part of the Staff of trainers in the area of Culture, in the local government of the city of Viña del Mar, Chile.

From his childhood he was an assiduous reader and writer of plays and comedies for the Tigres patrol of the Group of Guides and Scouts of his hometown. Upon entering the Navy, he began to develop a new facet as a writer, helping his comrades write letters to their girlfriends, including poems of his authorship.

Having served in the Chilean Navy, and traveled to various places in the world and his country, he has dedicated himself since 2012 to writing various stories that were born in the bosom of his family, with poems dedicated to his wife and children, and then, to explore in narrative, his first writing being his own memoirs of 23 years of service as a sailor. Then, his first leap into creative literature was marked with "Destinos Cruzados," which became a top 10 on Amazon as a youth readership, during the first month of release. Later he launched the novel "Sólo los Valientes", based on a dramatic event of a rescue at sea in 2005, a book that has been translated into English and Portuguese, and generated a growing interest on the part of readers who seek the narrative based on real events, both Spanish-speaking and English, arriving, in less than a year, to sell more than 1,600 copies, without any editorial support or from any institution.

His growing interest in the entertaining, easy-to-digest and entertaining story has led him to new works that are available to the public through various sources and platforms, including: "The Assassin of Rome", a drama from the early Roman Empire; "Yehoshua the General", the story of Joshua from 1350 BC and a new Joshua in the midst of the 2027 war in Israel; the saga "The Dark Side", inspired by the events that have led us to be where we are in history, during the last 20 years; "Wallmapu 1883", based on the events of the end of the so-called Araucanía War; "Hell in the Garden", the drama of those who lived through the most devastating forest fire of the last 100 years in Valparaíso.

His works have also served as an inspiration for a new generation of writers who project themselves through his delivery of knowledge in narrative, in his current public function as a promoter of art in the commune of Viña del Mar, where he works.

Currently, in addition, he supports other local and foreign authors in the editing process, which has led him to a new challenge in the world of writing, work that has been positively evaluated by those who have required his services. On the other hand, as a writer, he helps a local foundation in therapeutic writing processes for people who have suffered traumas, or who must face deep difficulties in their environment (children, parents, grief, etc.).

In addition to being a writer, he is a historical researcher, an expert in security and emergency matters, which helps him in his process of writing with certainty.

He is a draftsman and painter, so his work bears his own stamp, from the very cover of his books, which are designed by himself.

Finally, she is a lover of nature, which she enjoys whenever she can, in the company of her loyal canine companions: Nala and Zumy. He is also a fervent follower of the teachings of Jesus Christ, so he hopes to explore spiritual literature as well, for those who manifest the same faith.
