Mr. Daniel K. Hayashi

After graduating the Madam Chouinard Art Institute, in Los Angeles in 1970, (now California Institute Of The Arts), with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art and a minor in Psychology. My lovely wife & I worked our own graphic arts and publications firm in Manhattan Beach, California, serving the Aerospace and Commercial graphics industry of California. Against all odds and objections from friends in the industry, we felt compelled to seek early retirement in Arizona. Part of that decision was forged by the incredible stresses of overnight daily deadlines of reports and graphic service, while my soul reminding me that I have never comfortably believed in the purposes or consequences of war machinery, whose compelling forces drove themselves to the surface of my objecting emotions like an artesian well bursting rocky crags. During my days serving the defense industry, I had a vision of one day writing a future spiritual book, which turned into a two volume set of moral tales written in near daily observations as entries in Diary form. I've also written & illustrated 9 children's short stories so far, to satisfy my deeper need of meeting out identifying with higher ideals and principles. My various collections of spiritual books and children's stories are rooted in my deepest sense of convictions and personal observations. All these efforts are a result of that spiritual calling.
