Rhae Lynn Barnes is Assistant Professor of American Cultural History at Princeton University and the Sheila Biddle Ford Foundation Long Term Fellow at the Hutchins Center for African & African American Research at Harvard University. She is co-founder of the history education website US History Scene (www.ushistoryscene.com) and the former President of the Andrew W. Mellon Society of Fellows in Critical Bibliography at the University of Virginia. Before becoming an historian, Barnes served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Berkeley Poetry Review.
