Mary Munson

Mary Munson has spent more than two decades teaching young children as a special education preschool teacher in an integrated magnet school serving children ages two to five. Passionate about early childhood education, she creates engaging and creative curricula that help young learners discover math, science, kindness, and confidence through hands-on experiences and play.

Drawing from her years in the classroom, Mary now brings her expertise to children’s picture books, blending early learning concepts with themes of love, kindness, and social-emotional growth.

When she is not writing or teaching, Mary enjoys yoga, slow mornings, kayaking, camping, and spending time by mountain lakes with her family. She also loves taking long walks with her husband and her beloved wolfhound, Zoshia, and never says no to gourmet cupcakes or ice cream.
