Miss Rosalind Ruth Collier

Rosalind was born and raised in Kingston upon Hull and has worked in adult education and neurodiversity for the past 10 years. In her spare time, she visits aquariums, wildlife parks and zoos looking for inspiration for characters.

The inspiration for her first book came from an interaction she witnessed between a very grumpy looking Humboldt Penguin and a cheeky sparrow at the Cotswolds Wildlife Park. It seemed like the sparrow was reluctantly telling the penguin something and this became the basis for one of the first scenes in The Suricate Scandal.

Rosalind aims to combine the mystery and intrigue often created by authors such as Agatha Christie, with the wonder and magic of nature and the animal kingdom.
