Amy Williams

Dr. Amy Williams is a Program Manager for California Education Partners. She has 24 years of experience in education as Coordinator of Inclusive Services and Supports, K-8 Principal, Special Education Program Manager, School Psychologist, and Teacher.

She leads district to district collaboration teams. She serves as a coach for participating districts in supporting and building capacity needed for leading improvement work within districts.

In Sanger Unified School District, she developed and established the districts multitiered system of supports (MTSS). This process involved setting up the systems and structures to meet the needs of all students, developing a coherent system using data to align initiatives and resources, while using continuous improvement to set up a process for district wide student improvement outcomes. She is experienced in working with district administrators, principals, and teachers in developing an understanding of how to work with diverse learners, building collaborative teams and cultures, and coherent and aligned systems.

Amy specializes in working with districts and schools in developing, implementing, and supporting initiatives such as multitiered systems of supports inclusive of response to intervention (RTI), positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS), and social-emotional learning (SEL). Amy has served to create access and equity for all students through universal design for learning (UDL). She has experience in a variety of roles both special education and general education giving her a wide lens and varied perspectives to support all learners within an organization

She led her school to achieve California Distinguished Schools, National Schools to Watch, PBIS Gold School, and Bonner Virtues of Character Award.

Amy earned a B.A. in Psychology, Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, Education Administration Credential from California State University, Fresno, a M.A. in Education, Pupil Services Credential in School Psychology from Fresno Pacific University, and Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from California State University, Fresno where she researched teacher’s perspectives on implementing UDL.
