Daisy joined our family in June 2007, she is a 1979 bay window camper van.

As a mum of four and Nana to eight I have always loved reading and listening to young children read aloud.

I have always known that books have to engage children either with the story or for younger children picture and characters.

Daisy and teaching grandchildren to count inspired my first picture book Counting camper vans. I know how they liked to spot camper vans like Daisy on trips out, so we would count how many we saw.

In Counting camper vans Daisy drives along and in a little rhyme she is joined by nine more campers. All are different colours and shapes and they all have names so children like to pick their favourite one.

Children have ‘tea time’ ‘bath time’ ‘bed time’ so I love the idea of all children having reading time before bed so ‘It’s Daisy time’

It’s daisy time books are a series of books based on the 10 camper vans in Counting Camper Vans.
