Shannon Scharkey

Shannon Scharkey was born in Orange County, California and is the youngest of four children.

Shannon knew she wanted to be a writer after picking up her first crayon and learning how to

write her name before the age of 5. A love for writing stories soon followed. Shannon lives with

her husband and family of Great Danes who were the inspiration for her debut picture book.
