Karen Colquhoun

Karen Colquhoun is a qualified Primary Teacher, accredited Life Coach and Teen Coach Practitioner.

She has spent the past 22 years in Primary Education, with the aim of making a difference in the lives of the children in her care. Karen has experience, not only of teaching children in the way of academics, but also of teaching them about the importance of knowing who they truly are, being themselves and loving themselves first!

As a Teen Coach, Karen loves nothing more than holding space for young people who need a safe space to just ‘be’, free from judgement, free from expectations, free from conditions. She has worked with young girls to take control of their anxiety, develop their confidence, build their self-esteem, and identify the next steps to achieving their goals.

Karen’s self-development journey and discovery of spirituality helped her identify her mission in life - to create ‘change for children’. In her role as a parent, she has gained an understanding of the impact that her beliefs and own childhood trauma have had, not only on her as a mum, but in all areas of her life and now seeks to support other parents of teens to become conscious, to break free from generational patterns of lack, limitation, fear, and adverse childhood experiences.

When Karen isn’t teaching or coaching, her other passion in life is writing. She has written a number of poems, some of which have been published this year. Karen was recently awarded ‘ELITE WRITER STATUS’ for 2022 and will have her poem featured in the upcoming 2022 Poet’s Yearbook.
