Marj Helmer

I have been a student, high school Gernan teacher, mom, feminist, volunteer, office worker, business owner, political candidate, grandma, and all-round cheerleader. Currently, I am a writer with rejections to prove it. I write fiction about life issues, such as, abortion or not, end of life, being different, growing up/old, making those life time decisions. I started the Maple Grove Writers' Studio to write together with others and share learning and experiences. I believe in the individual and in learning as a life-long obligation. I live in Minnesota with my husband Don.
