Christopher M. Parfitt

Christopher M. Parfitt, EdD, JM is Vice President, Academic Affairs at Florida National University. He previously served as the Vice President, Administrative Operations at Hodges University, as senior director of grants and alumni relations, director of institutional effectiveness, professor of educational leadership, a school administrator, in a school district central office, and as a teacher. In addition to graduate degrees in educational leadership and a Juris Master degree from Hodges University, he is an alumnus of the University of Pittsburgh and Seton Hill University. Chris is a past-president of the Southern Regional Council on Educational Administration, has been co-editor of the Southeast Journal of Educational Administration since 2019, has published several peer-reviewed articles, and authored chapters for edited books by Fran Kochan and Dana Griggs, Lou Sabina, and Benjamin Kutsyuruba and Keith Walker. His first book, Succession Planning: A Framework and Guidelines for School Leaders, published by Rowman and Littlefield was published in 2023. Chris also has one published musical composition, Sonata for Contrabass Tuba and Piano (Cimarron Music Press, 2020).
