Chocolate and chicken are two of Crystal Everett’s favorite things and it’s rare that a day passes when she doesn’t have at least one of those.

Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Crystal is making her mark in the education space and doing her part to impact the lives of young people. She has more than a decade of experience working with students, holding roles with local non-profit organizations, as well as in higher education.

One of Crystal’s passions has always been writing and although she changed her major in college from journalism, she continues to identify herself as a storyteller. She frequently writes blog posts and started a podcast, Conversations with Crystal.

Navigating the role of a parent isn’t always easy. However, she’s able to do it with love and grace, alongside her husband, Marquis as they raise their daughter, the inspiration for Mari and Mommy Move It!
