By writing The Heart Swindler, Michelle’s mission is to walk with women through the heartbreaking aftershock of surviving romance scammers and narcissistic abusers. There’s much work to be done and Michelle’s goal is to journey alongside women, helping them to become the best, most confident version of themselves.

She is the author of 4 books: Bathroom Prayers—Inspiring Thoughts While You’re on the Pot under the pen name Anita Flushing, From Pen to Published—A Blueprint for Success which she co-authored with former NFL player, Brandon Williams, and two bestselling, multiple award-winning children’s books she co-authored with her cousin, Joy VanDertuin, Gizelle’s Silly, Soggy Day and Gizelle’s Whimsical Wintery Day.

Michelle is an ongoing moderator for the annual Carolina Book and Writer Conference and host of the YouTube podcast, Winning Proof Unscripted where she engages in captivating conversations with fascinating guests.

Michelle is a Book and Publishing Consultant and Founder of Winning Proof, a company helping sports and business professionals get their books written, published, and promoted. Her impressive roster of clientele includes pro athletes, sports agents, coaches, NFL GMs, high-level performance trainers, sport psychologists, leadership coaches, and auto dealership owners.

Michelle has been a born-again Christian for forty-eight years, and her relationship with Christ permeates everything she does. She enjoys cooking, baking, reading, weight training, serving at church, and working on her business.
