Kaila B. Epps

Kaila Epps, MBA, CPC, aka “Ms. Refine Your Mind,” is the Founder and Chief Talent Development Officer of The Recruit Refinery LLC, a career coaching firm empowering black millennial working professionals to turn their professional skills into assets so that they can BOSS UP and take control of a career they love.

She's spent her career in HR business partner and customer service roles at various nonprofits, Fortune 500, and startup companies. She has years of experience conducting interviews, building/editing resumes and cover letters, recruiting candidates, helping professionals define their brand and passions, networking, and speaking publicly.

She's helped her clients get into top 20 MBA programs, pivot into new businesses and build out their brand and value proposition, book paid speaking engagements with various organizations, get hired into general management roles, get connected to key stakeholders in their industry to propel their careers and businesses, and much more.

Kaila is the author of “5 Quick Steps to Go Super Saiyan as an Entrepreneur” and has spoken for multiple organizations around professional development, utilizing one’s personal brand to influence their career, the road to entrepreneurship, women’s empowerment, and more. She is a proud member of prestigious organizations that are for the empowerment and equality of black (and brown) professionals, such as For(bes) the Culture, Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., and the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management.

Kaila is passionate about self-development and the development of others. She obtained her MBA from one of the top programs in the U.S. - Indiana University's Kelley School of Business and received her professional coaching certification from an International Coaching Federation accredited program. Kaila enjoys traveling (she's visited 21 countries with a goal to hit 50 countries by 40), watching anime, aerial fitness, and cooking various styles of cuisine with a vegan twist.
