A native New Yorker, L.I. ter Meulen has been taking her cues from its streets, its people, and its soul since childhood. A graduate of City University of New York, and an entrepreneur, she was the visionary behind “Heatwave,” CUNY’s first compendium of student feminist poetry and fiction. Author of Kismet; Home Heart Twigs; Red Coal, and numerous other poetry collections, she is a winner of the NFSPS prize for her singular poem “Splendid Child.” Smooth Hard is her debut novel.
