Mark Bartolomeo

Mark Bartolomeo is a great-grandson of Giovanni and Rosaria di Bartolomeo, the main characters in the book, and the grandson of George (Giuseppe) Bartolomeo. Mark spent more than 20 years working with researchers and genealogists in Italy, New Jersey, Maryland, and Virginia, sourcing, and organizing information for his first non-fiction book, Giovanni’s Last Shoe.

He is a native of Baltimore, growing up where the di Bartolomeo family settled, and a graduate of the University of Maryland.
