Lily Simonson

I am an artist and writer. I often work with scientists on research expeditions, exploring and painting the most remote places on the planet. I have spent many months painting and living in a tent in Antarctica, and scuba diving beneath the world’s largest expanse of sea ice–often while dressed as a hot dog. I have also explored the deep sea, creating art aboard research ships and in the research submarine Alvin. I have exhibited my paintings at galleries and museums around the US and Europe. Choose Your Own Adventure: Antarctica! is my debut novel.
