Billy Joe Morris

I’m Billy Joe Morris, a fantasy and science fiction author from the Washington, D.C. area. My stories explore what defines identity and existence when worlds collide—sometimes literally. In my novel Shattered Fate and the Laws of Existence, the collision of two realms gives birth to a fragile new world held together by magic, where every choice carries the weight of creation and destruction.

I’m currently developing Lost Descendants, a new series that delves even deeper into themes of legacy, power, and self-discovery. Each of my stories is built on the idea that identity is both a gift and a burden—a truth forged through conflict, choice, and the will to endure.

As a veteran with more than 35 years of experience working with the government, I bring structure, purpose, and realism into every world I create. That same sense of discipline and imagination also drives my creative business, Billy’s Creative Coloring Books, Activity Books, Journals and Notebooks, where I design books that encourage creativity, reflection, and fun for all ages.

My philosophy is simple: “The only backup plan you need is to get up.” Whether in writing or in life, I believe every setback is just the beginning of another great story.
