Hi there, thank you for taking time to connect with me and read about my life's journey on my way to becoming an author. I am super passionate about maintaining good health and fitness from the inside out, therefore am intrigued with the workings of the human body and how we maintain it day to day. I believe my passion for fitness was ignited back in my youth as I loved sport and decided at the age of 10 to join my local athletics team Essex Beagles in East London (now called Newham & Essex Beagles) and spent numerous evenings and weekends training and competing and striving to be the best I could be throughout my teen years through to adulthood. I then trained as a Fitness Instructor as a young adult but didn't really take up work within the industry until later in life.
I have always been drawn to and enjoy serving people and before embarking on my health and fitness career, I had the privilege of working in the political sphere, local government, a charity and had the pleasure of being involved in social enterprises and working on the ground in the local community. However, my love for life and wellness pulled me back in to the world of health and fitness and I trained to become a qualified Personal Trainer and Health Coach working in numerous private and local health clubs. I have been running my own business within the leisure industry for the past12 years or so, and know this is definitely where my skills and talents lie - working with individuals to assist them in their journey to better health and wellness.
I had the urge of take up sprinting again in my late 40's and competed in the Masters World Athletic Championships in Malaga, Spain. I had the most amazing time representing Great Britain and running the race of my dream. Unfortunately, I was holding an injury, my darn achilles tendons, but they just about held up to the finish line.
My goal is to serve, support and encourage people across the globe, with a particular desire for the black community, so we can turn the tide of our current poor health to reflect our vibrant and beautiful culture. And what better way to continue this mission than to write a book which can reach people and places far beyond the shores of the UK where I currently reside.
Improve your health journey, one step and a time and live a life with more energy and increased longevity.
