Mathius Mack Gertz

Mathius Mack Gertz has been a life-long collector of experiences. Whether good, indifferent, or bad, he has always preferred experiences to material gifts and enjoyed them all … one way or another. Wearing a catheter was not one of his favorites, but it was one experience that gave him a lot of material and the motivation to share it with the world. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he lives in Los Angeles with his family. Professionally he is known as Marc, but that’s another story!

Mathius is an alumna of the University of Southern California. In addition to Cinematic Arts and Business, he majored in History at USC and felt that it was one of the best decisions of his life. Learning to research facts and dig for the truth has influenced how he does business. Mathius is interested in the how and why of where we are today in this world. When he talks with clients, he inquires similarly about their personal histories and how and why they made their decisions. This gives Mathius insight into how to best design a plan to meet an advisor's needs for their client and why it has a great chance of success.

Mathius holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA), is an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®), a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS), and also a Certified Divorce Lending Professional (CDLP™). As an AFC®, he offers both lender-sponsored programs to his clients as well as fee-based counseling. He collaborates with trusted advisors to design and implement programs that satisfy their client's legal and financial planning needs. Mathius represents a complete spectrum of reverse mortgages and limited equity share programs through his mortgage practice.
