Towards the end of a career in engineering, IT and project management, Donald Southey took up fiction writing as a hobby. His debut novel, "I, Messiah" (2011) met with outstanding reviews. To date, he has published six novels, four novellas and six collections of short stories, with more to come soon.
Donald's stories frequently examine the intersection of emerging technologies, society and ethics; many draw from a mix of personal experiences of the author or close friends. In all of them, an undercurrent of a Christian viewpoint, hope, and challenge can be detected.
Don is married, with four daughters (also all married), is a Chartered Engineer and EURING, is currently based in the UK, and is a member of Freedom Church, with whom he has served on mission twice in South Africa. For some years he was also a schools STEM Ambassador and an occasional international mime artist.
