Richard Crookes

Richard Crookes has more than 40 years’ experience as a freelance artist and illustrator. Developing from early days in the fine art publishing sector, through wide experience in the greeting card industry and on to working for international publishers.

He is widely known for his design and illustration work on oracle card decks and book covers, including The Astrology Reading Cards, the award-winning Angels of Atlantis Oracle Cards, and the Angel and Gemstone Guardians Cards series amongst many others.

A graduate of the Advanced Training Scheme of the Society of Scribes and Illuminators and has also worked as professional calligrapher for many years.

As a bit of a restless creative, Richard has recently been exploring improvisational, contemplative music and runs a small record label called Wu Wei Records. You will find his solo work and collaborations with Tektonix and Kotography on all download and streaming platforms.

Richard's latest creative project is the funny and somewhat abstract cartoon series 'The Private Life of Ningnong ' about the private thoughts and feelings of his little black and white cat Ningnong. Ningnong is sarcastic, opinionated, vain, and most of all very lazy. Definitely a cat wih 'Catitude'. Available now for Kindle and mobile devices.
