Angela Still was born and raised in South Carolina. A mother of three, she attended the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and received a Masters Degree in counseling and holds a Bachelor of English Education. She is an experienced registered yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance and has trained with Baron Baptiste, Michael Johnson, Nikki Myers, and is a certified Y12SR leader. In addition, she received the Rachel Greene Memorial Scholarship from Kripalu in 2018 to become certified as a Yoga in Schools instructor. In 2017, her. nonprofit received the Hootie and the Blowfish Grant for additional training with Bessel van der Kolk on trauma's effects on the body. In 2017, she founded a nonprofit that provided yoga and mindfulness services to incarcerated men and women in her home state. She currently teaches yoga at the University of South Carolina where she has developed a three-credit hour course called Gateway to Yoga and a one-credit hour course called Meditation and Mindfulness for stress relief. She is committed to teaching both in the public and private sector and shares her wealth of yoga knowledge through her books.
