Malini Ranganathan

Malini Ranganathan is Associate Professor in the School of International Service (SIS) at American University, Washington, DC. Her research and writing sit at the intersection of urban geography, environmental justice, and political ecology. She is broadly interested in the political ecology of land, infrastructure, and labor in the capitalist city, with specific attention to differences etched by caste, class, and race.
