As a registered dietitian with a master’s degree in nutrition science, I have worked in clinical, community, and corporate settings globally.
In hopes of bridging the gap between science and health, I have published widely across many platforms: newspapers (International Herald Tribune, Los Angeles Times, The Boston Globe, The Washington Post, The Philadelphia Inquirer); magazines (Nutrition Action, Journal for Nutrition Education, Weight Watchers Magazine, WholeFoods Magazine); continuing education curricula (Institute for Nutrition Resources); and scientific organizations (International Probiotics Association) among others.
I explored surprising contributors to the obesity pandemic in my book Globesity: 10 Things You Didn't Know Were Making You Fat. More recently, I launched the website ProbioticsNow.com to share the cascade of new discoveries in the microbiome.
My 2022 book FERTILITY: Why Microbes, Weight & Nutrition Matter describes the latest evidence-based research in a succinct resource format for healthcare practitioners and patients.
