Arne Kohlweyer

Arne Kohlweyer was born in Wolgast (Eastern Germany) and grew up in Berlin. In 2008 he completed his postgraduate-studies in film directing at FAMU in Prague. He has made several short films, most recently "Drübenland - The Land Over There" (awarded "Best EU Short Film" at the Flickerfest in Sydney, among others). Arne Kohlweyer has also directed commissioned TV productions for German television and was nominated for the "Grimme Award" as a writer and director in 2017. He writes screenplays for feature films and series. "Ostkind" is his debut novel.
