Sarah Ditchfield

Sarah Ditchfield is the founder of Candle by Events (www.candlebyevents.co.uk). She started her candle-making journey fifteen years ago when her husband bought her a candle-making kit for Christmas! Initially it was a hobby then it became her career. The business initially produced candles for shops, hotels and restaurants. Then, in 2012, she established a candle-making studio in Marlow and started running in-person candle-making workshops for beginners plus other events for organisations including family fun days, corporate events, hen parties and children's parties.

Besides in-person workshops Sarah has created online workshops, where candle-making kits are shipped to participants so they can make the candles at home whilst following a live online workshop. These are supplemented with step-by-step videos and a printed guide. She also sells rolled beeswax kits.

Sarah has also written two candle-making books and co-authored a craft book. She lives in Marlow, UK, with her husband, two children and her Welsh Springer Spaniel.
