Swami Ayyappa Giri is the Founder-Acharya of Yogini Ashram, California. He is a direct disciple of Mahavatar Babaji and devotee of Maha Kali and the 64 Yoginis for over 30 years. His writing draws from years of practice and teaching within the traditions of Kriya Yoga, Saiva Siddhanta, Advaita Vedanta and classical Kaula Marg Tantra.
Swami has traveled extensively in India, the homeland of yoga and tantra since 1973, often residing there for year-long stints under the guidance of his Adi Guru, Yogi Ramaiah.
Pilgrimage to the 51 Staktipeeths, and all of the 64 Yogini temples that have survived into modern times, meditation in holy places, and time spent with powerful saints has led him to express from the wealth of this experience.
