Heather M Bruhl

Heather Bruhl grew up in Western Maine and knew at a young age she needed a very creative lifestyle. When the opportunity arose she moved to San Francisco and studied interior design at the College of Marin in the Bay Area. She later returned to Maine and opened a restaurant where she combined her love of decorating, food, art and hospitality.

Heather's mother, Maxine Pike had studied oil painting in Marin County and painted seascapes. She encouraged Heather to paint, so she enrolled in art classes at the University of Southern Maine and graduated honors and a Fine Arts Degree with a concentration in painting and a minor in creative writing.

Heather currently resides on the coast of Maine with her loving husband, darling daughter and a Newfoundland named Kirby. She has written, illustrated and published four children's books, she is active in the arts community, shows her art in local galleries, belongs to writing groups, book clubs, dinner clubs and continues to live a very happy creative life.
