Charles is a storyteller at heart, always chasing the spark of a new idea. Whether crafting novels or short stories, he is happiest when bringing something new into the world. Rooted in both the grit and soul of Philadelphia and the nostalgia-soaked shores of Wildwood, Charles weaves together history, mystery, and human connection in every project. His work captures the past and present, blending memory with imagination to create stories that linger long after the last page is turned.
He is the author of LAWNDALE, Stories from my Youth: Growing up in Northeast Philadelphia in the 60s and 70s, and DOWN THE SHORE, Stories from my Summers in Wildwood in the 70s.
Other published non-fiction works include Phicklephilly, Phicklephilly 2, Crazy Dating Stories, and Sun Stories: Tales from a Tanning Salon.
His fiction titles include Holiday Hearts, Seashore Stories, Island Serenade, Angel With A Broken Wing, and Below The Wheel.
Since 2016, his blog, Phicklephilly, has been published globally every week. Charles grew up in Northeast Philadelphia and spent summers in Wildwood, NJ. He worked in finance and advertising for 30 years and now resides in Philadelphia, PA.
