I have always been an avid reader, a lover of language and words. As a child in primary school, I used to daydream and write short stories rather than do my schoolwork. After a career in estate agency and property development, marriage and motherhood, I have reconnected once more with my creative writing inner self. My first published novel, ‘Don’t miss the last train home’ was inspired by the stories my mother told me of her father's family and uses the postcard collection left by my great aunt Beatrice. 'Going home' is a mini-story that arrived in my head from nowhere and 'Boxes of time' is a collection of short stories to amuse and make you think. I am working on an earlier plot idea that has been simmering for 33 years and deserves to be heard, as well as a couple of other plots I want to explore for future books. Thank you for following me.
