Evol Dillon

Jamaican born Evol Dillon is the author of the book Chronicles Of A Broken Heart.

A native of the town of Linstead, St. Catherine he attended Charlemont High School, before moving on to

Jose Marti Technical High School.

He then relocated to Portmore, St. Catherine and attended Excelsior Community College where he pursued a course in Electrical Technology. 

He also holds a certificate in Telemarketing and also in Customer Relations.

While attending Excelsior Community College he began playing semi-professional soccer, representing Greater Portmore United soccer team.

During this stint he won numerous awards and went to become captain of the team for a span of over 10 years.

After getting injured during one of his many trials and being home for an extended period that was when reality

struck that maybe his dream of becoming a professional soccer player wasn’t going to become a reality.

He got employed as a Stores Handyman at the Jamaican Urban Transit Company, during a tenure that

lasted 20 years he went on to serve as Stores Clerk, he also worked as Stores Supervisor at depot level and also at the Central Stores located at the Head Office. 

During this time, he also represented the company in soccer for a period of 20 years, 15 of which he was the team

captain.

He also represented Dunbeholden F.C in the Division one, Major League and Super League.

A kindhearted and very jovial person, he is known throughout his community for his charitable efforts and contributions to assisting the needy and helping many youths gaining employment and mentoring them.
