Leeanne was adopted as an infant. When she was nine years old she learned of her adoption. She had many questions, some of which could not be answered. At the age of twenty four she finds out, how much she weighed at birth and what time she was born.

Finding her natural family brought answers but also a new emotional process unfolded, a new vulnerability. The fear of rejection, even after all this time.

We must listen to these children of adoption without feeling offended, learn to understand that their emotional trauma is something they will carry throughout their lifetime.

They don’t mean to come off as disrespectful but rather need to be understood as they struggle for their identity.

It is normal to seek answers of a past they have not been allowed to be part of.
