My challenge is to write every chapter without unnecessary “padding out” If you read the first book in the Max-Catt series “The beginning” one will see this endeavour.

I left school at 15 with no or very little education. So all you people out there that got an unfair start, take encouragement. You’ll be surprised what you can achieve!

I served a full bricklaying apprenticeship and went quickly on to become a building engineer after re-education etc. I started a property company in 1979 and it is still going strong today, run by my lovely daughter Lydia.

Writing to stimulate a readership is my new passion.

Two more in the Max-Catt series are complete. The second: “No return” will be released in September and the third “Bastion” November/December 2022.
