Patrick Guidotti

Patrick Guidotti was born in Bellinzona, Ticino, Switzerland. He attended the University of Zurich, Switzerland, where he obtained his Diploma and PhD in Mathematics. He was a postdoctoral scholar at the Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg in Germany and at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, CA, USA, where he also held the position of Von Karman Instructor. In 2001 he joined the University of California Irvine in Irvine, CA, USA, where he is currently a Professor of Mathematics. His research interests are in the general areas of applied analysis and applied mathematics.
