Andrew Ashwin

Andrew Ashwin is an author, musician and teacher, who lives in a house full of books and musical instruments in Leicestershire, England.

He loved writing short detective stories as a child, and creative writing was his favourite subject at school! Music has been part of his life for as long as he can remember, and he is certain there is NOTHING more fun than singing, playing an instrument or listening to amazing songs!

When he is not tripping over books and violins in the hallway, or daydreaming about Drumendus, he teaches singing, conducts choirs and performs in concerts around the country and abroad too.

He is passionate about getting kids reading AND involved in music - he believes every child should have the chance to experience the joy that music-making can offer.

He also loves basketball and triathlons, and he took part in a 24-hour ultra-marathon a few years ago..!
