Dr Prem Fort

Dr. Fort is a neonatologist, a neonatal ICU (NICU) trained pediatrician, with more than 10 years of medical experience. He completed his training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Duke University, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is originally from Lima, Peru and emigrated as a teenager to the great country of the United States seeking higher education. His passion for writing books began as child and all throughout his career as a medical researcher, writing for various medical journals on topics related to prematurity breathing problems. He has a passion for educating families about babies in the NICU and started doing so through social media. His hope is to educate about things that babies can encounter in the NICU, bring a few little memories to those that have been there before, bring some feelings of love and laughter, and finally, just make the NICU a little less scary to all
