Matthew A. Brown

Matthew A. Brown was born and raised just outside the city of Reading in the mid-Atlantic state of Pennsylvania. He is currently a middle school social studies teacher; however, he spent his first nine years as a special education teacher in both alternative and public schools. These were challenging years, but he attributes them to developing him into the teacher, and more importantly, person, he is today. Matthew is married to his lovely wife of ten years with whom he shares four children. One of the best parts about raising children has been spending time reading with them. As a parent, he has found a passion in picking out books to read with his children that teach them something important about life. This want, combined with his experiences in education, is what has inspired him to begin writing children’s books himself. Wibbly the Wobbly Cog, is Matthew’s first foray into writing, but it will certainly not be his last as he already has more plans for Wibbly. He is hopeful that he is able to engage young readers and their parents in stories that help everyone learn a little bit more about themselves.
