Muyiwa Kayode

Muyiwa Kayode is a visionary in the Nigerian Brand Management space. As Co-Founder/CEO of USP Brand Management, he led several of the most transformational branding projects in Corporate Nigeria, including Bank of Industry, AIICO Insurance, Zinox Technologies, Unity Bank and Emzor Pharmaceuticals.

Through the Brand2Wealth Program, which was launched in 2007, his firm USP has impacted more than 5000 entrepreneurs through brand training and capacity building. Between 2015 and 2022, the program partnered with the Bank of Industry and Nigeria Export Promotion Council, NEPC to provide brand training for entrepreneurs and exporters to help them achieve competitive advantage in a market dominated by foreign brands. As a result, more than 250 exporters have been able to add economic value to Nigeria’s non-oil export programs.

He is the creator and producer of the first Nigerian animation series on television, Adventures of Turtle Taido, which has won multiple international awards, including Best Children’s Short at the Los Angeles Independent Shorts Awards in 2019 and 2020. His desire to raise Africa’s profile in the animation space led to his creation of the Lagos International Festival of Animation LIFANIMA in 2017. Endorsed by the Lagos State Government and profiled in the state’s official tourism calendar, this animation festival stands as one of the largest on the African continent, drawing over 1000 entries from more than 100 countries globally.

A multi-talented creative entrepreneur, Muyiwa graduated from the University of Lagos in 1988 and worked with The Guardian Newspaper until 1990 when he joined SO & U Saatchi & Saatchi and later, Prima Garnet Ogilvy where he produced a series of award-winning work and Nigeria’s first TV commercial on CNN for Crystal Bank. Between 2004 and 2007, he attended two marketing courses at Harvard Business School and the Building Brands Program at Lagos Business School.
