George M Montgomery

George Montgomery grew up in Oklahoma. He spent his pre-teen years building a homemade go-kart fashioned of 2X4 lumber and a vintage washing machine gas engine. He spent his high school years tinkering with a '55 Chevrolet Bel Aire.

During his adult years he worked on his various Triumph sports cars: several Spitfires, a TR4 and a TR6. He made many cross country trips to car shows, autocrosses and rallys.

George had a tax accounting practice in Oklahoma City for 20 years before leaving to live in and travel in a 35' motorhome. During these 15 years he conducted a virtual tax and business consulting practice.

In 2018 George retired from his tax consulting business to do creative writing. He has written several short stories and memoirs. The Autoist is his first novel. It is about the life he would have liked to have lived, had he been born sixty years earlier.
