The author of the magic paintbrush lives in the land beyond, beyond, a world past hope and fear where only dreamers dare. The Magic paintbrush is part of a series called: The Books of 9 & 10 Penance. The idea of the series is to explore the depths of humanity, what makes us complex creatures with strong feelings and emotions. Writing for me began at a very early age, first inspired by Mother Gooses fairy tales. As an adult I seek the unusual. I grew up in an artistic home. People like Grant Wood, Escher and Picasso were common knowledge. I thought everyone knew who they were, but as I got older I found most people had no idea who these famous artists were. That's partly why I wrote the book. I mean, Grant Wood. Every home in America should know who he is.

The 2nd book, The Greatest Storm was inspired by my great aunt and uncle. Uncle Bill was in WWII and spent quite a long time away from his life long partner, Aunt Fern. I wondered what that was like and if those two would find each other again, despite being separated by an ocean. It's a goofy comedy, just like uncle Bill

The 3rd novel is a dark fantasy inspired by my favorite classics and many artists throughout history.
