LeAnn Cassidy

LéAnn Murphy Cassidy, Ed.S. is the 2023 Smart/Maher National VFW History and Civics Education Teacher for CT, the 2018 Gilder Lehrman Connecticut History Teacher of the Year, as well as a 2018 Connecticut State Teacher of the Year Finalist. LéAnn has also served on the CCSS Board of Directors, the Teacher Advisory Council for the National Constitution Center and the House of Delegates Steering Committee for the National Council for the Social Studies. In her thirty-eighth year of teaching, she has worked to advocate for social studies education at the local, state, and national levels.
