Elena Kennedy

Elena Kennedy is married with one daughter and lives in Southeast London. Elena was born in Northampton, UK. Growing up, she lived in various places around the world including Edinburgh, Scotland, and the Middle East. Now married to a Kiwi, she has family links with New Zealand and considers it to be her second home.

Elena and her daughter take inspiration for Ryleigh Rainbow Fox’s adventures from stories and characters that came to life as they explored the beautiful woods surrounding their home in London. Ryleigh Rainbow Fox is the first in a series featuring woodland creatures, all different, all bringing their unique personalities to the page.

Elena believes in the power of kindness and understanding the importance of inclusivity and diversity and neurodiversity. With that in mind, she plans to share many of the adventures of Ryleigh Rainbow Fox and friends, highlighting the reason to celebrate differences in people. These delightful stories will cover serious topics in a gentle, informative way that will capture the imagination of children everywhere.
