Mariana Vilhena da Motta and Regina Vilhena de Moraes are direct descendants of Don Juan Manuel. After falling in love with The Count Lucanor, written by their ancestor nearly seven centuries ago, they set out to bring its stories closer to contemporary readers and new generations. Together, they prepared a family edition in Portuguese and children’s editions in Portuguese and English, published by Selo Vilhena. Mariana is also the author of a book on sound, meditation, and well-being.
