A.K Bhargava

For Mr. A K Bhargava, covering the journey of telecom feels like covering autobiography, having worked in the telecom sector for more than 40 years. He retired as Memebr TDSAT where he was part of many important judgments in Telecom, Broadcasting, Cyber, and Aviation sectors. He has worked as Member Telecom Commission and Advisor (Technology) in DoT, where he was closely associated with the policy, regulatory issues, and spectrum management. He was a founding Director at BBNL which is tasked with providing optical fibre connectivity to all the Gram Panchayats in India. He has had a long stint in MTNL where he led many IT, Broadband, and GSM initiatives including India's first 3G roll-out. He has also worked in Zimbabwe for five years. Mr. Bhargava is an engineering graduate from BITS Pilani.
