Bob Kirk was born in Chicago and grew up on a farm in a tiny town in Northern Wisconsin. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1975 and from Harvard Law School (with honors) in 1978. He became a trial lawyer because discovering the truth about things has always been very important to him. He litigated employment discrimination cases all over the country for about twenty years before retiring to West Virginia where his wife and he homeschooled their twin daughters through their completion of high school.
His passion for the topic of evolution comes from personal experience. Bob was trained to believe that Darwin’s theory was as well-established as the theory of gravity. In all his years of schooling, he never heard a single word of criticism or doubt about Darwin’s big idea. But when he became a father of precious twin daughters in 1992 at almost forty years of age, he decided to study the topic for himself so he could teach his daughters the truth. When he began to discover the truth about evolution, it changed his life completely because his materialistic worldview about the origin and nature of humans no longer had a credible basis.
His study of the topic of evolution continued for more than twenty-five years. Over the years, he digested a wide variety of books on the subject that often required a great deal of study. In 2020, he was moved to write his own book on the topic because he realized that what people think about where humans came from has a huge impact on how people think about life, yet almost no one has the time to study the evidence the way he had done. So he distilled decades of study and explained in simple terms why Darwin’s big idea cannot be true. His book enables the reader to understand in a matter of hours what has taken him years of study to comprehend.
Bob’s training and experience as an attorney in proving and disproving facts informs the first chapter of the book which, among other things, helps readers understand how to distinguish evidence from imagination and opinion, and how to assess the credibility of evidence. Subsequent chapters present the case against Darwinism on several dimensions. In addition to an overview of the fossil evidence, these include (a) the logical impossibility of highly complex biological systems being created by mutation and natural selection, (b) the fact that not even an ancient universe would have allowed enough time for evolution to have occurred, and (c) the shocking reality that each of the “icons of evolution” presented in high school and college biology textbooks has actually been debunked or, in some cases, proven to have been a fraud in the first place.
