TEARS of a THOUSAND YEARS: Vega, a Rememberer on her first assignment to a new planet, travels with her brother Wren to a remote mountain village and finds a miracle worker who challenges everything she thinks she knows. She gets a miracle she didn't ask for but one that will give her people a chance at redemption.

"Part Stargate, part Children of Men—but without the relentless violence—Tears of a Thousand Years is a moving and thought-provoking exploration of civilization’s cost. Glen Olson doesn’t just ask what happens when an intelligent species is held accountable for its actions, he dares to imagine that they might respond with grace, empathy, and transformation."

DESPERATE ENDEAVOR: "If only Humanity understood the true nature of its conflict with the Aranthchi, the future might not be so uncertain."

Thirty-five years after Humanity’s only interstellar war—with the only alien species it has ever encountered—one man has spent his entire adult life questioning why the war happened at all. As part of the post-war agreement, the AranthChi enlisted Humanity for scientific research, and Mikail's role is to safeguard its most valuable secrets. But as a long-buried conspiracy begins to surface, Mikail realizes something is deeply wrong. Determined to uncover the truth, he embarks on a quest for answers—only to discover that Humanity faces an even greater threat than before. And time is running out.

About Author

Glen W. Olson grew up in the San Fernando Valley, a Los Angeles suburb, during the vibrant and transformative 1960s. His childhood might have been ordinary, except for one unique advantage—his best friend's father worked in Cold War aerospace and owned a mimeograph machine. This early access to publishing allowed Olson to create and distribute a neighborhood newspaper, sparking a lifelong passion for writing.

Throughout his career in the Fire Department, Olson took on multiple roles, including paramedic, disaster preparedness educator, inspector, and captain. He contributed to firefighter training manuals and helped develop FEMA’s national disaster preparedness student manual.

His fiction career began with *Nightwatch*, which earned an honorable mention in the prestigious *L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future* contest. Since then, he has authored *Desperate Endeavor*, an action-packed space adventure interwoven with deep themes and romance, *Fifty Years of Polyamory in America*, a compelling nonfiction exploration of the movement’s history, and his latest novel, Tears of a Thousand Years."

Olson continues to live in the Los Angeles area with his supportive wife and a demanding cat who insists on interrupting his writing sessions for well-earned attention.
