Cherie Cotner

Cherie is a Survivor of a car accident and many other trials and tribulations. However, that did not stop her from keeping her sense of humor and writing a book about her experiences. She grew up in Houston, Texas, and graduated from Charles H. Milby High School in 1977. Cherie attended Texas A&M University 1977-1981 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Education. She relocated to Fort Worth, Texas upon marrying. Her car accident occurred only 6 months after the wedding. Despite the obstacles in front of her, she went on to work in community relations at Carter Blood Center, and had two children. Upon her divorce she moved back to Houston, Texas and worked at Sam's Club in the marketing Department for 13 years. Cherie is currently retired and resides in College Station, Texas and enjoys volunteering with Aggieland Pets With a Purpose. She also advocates for Service Dogs Inc who has provided her with two wonderful service dogs. Cherie regularly visits her three grandchildren in Houston, Texas.
