Vincent J. Hall II is a New Jersey-based writer who made his literary debut with The Drinks Between Us. A founding member of the New Jersey Arts and Culture Administrators of Color (NJACAC), he has most recently collaborated with the New Jersey Theatre Alliance (NJTA) on Creating Change Symposium, a virtual conference to help move New Jersey’s cultural community to a more just, antiracist, and equitable community. A History graduate from William Paterson University, Vincent helps lead ArtPride New Jersey Foundation’s advocacy and governmental affairs efforts and is the new state captain for Americans for the Arts (AFTA)’s Annual Arts Action Summit. He is also an integral part of advancing ArtPride’s equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives and is the staff liaison for the Independent Advisory Committee.
When he is not helping his community and making a difference, Vincent enjoys attending Phillies games with his partner Megan, going to art museums, and going out to dinner with friends, Vincent wants readers to know to not be afraid of the light within us all and to follow your dreams wherever they may take you. When you’re afraid remember this quote from Marianne Williamson, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.” Remember: Don't be afraid to let your light shine.
