Patty Ihm is the author of a memoir, "Isn't That Enough? Musings of Motherhood and the Meaning of Life,"; “Ode to a Boy,” a poetry book dedicated to her grown sons; her debut middle grade novel, "Goldie Bird,” and a soon-to-be released children’s picture book, “The Rooster Story.” A former teacher and therapist, Patty and her husband, Dan, have three biological and six adopted children and have been foster parents to many more. They live on a farmette in Northern Illinois with their chickens, their children who have not yet left the nest, and the memories of those that have.
An advocate for the written word, Patty’s life experiences provide a therapeutic and soul-cleansing platform for expression. She hopes that you will find meaning in her writing, as we are all connected by our human nature.
